Year 6 Junior Citizenship Trip - 25/6/21

Year 6 had a great afternoon at their Junior Citizenship event. They participated in workshops covering a range of topics:

- How to safely get onto a bus

- What to do if you see a bag on public transport

- When walking home, what to do when you see things on the street

- How to be safe around open water

- What drugs are safe and what drugs are not

- What littering can do to the planet and the fines that can come if you do

- Knife crime

- Why wearing a helmet is so important when cycling

The children also met a range of officers. They were given the chance to answer questions and to ask questions of their own.

We were very proud of our Year 6 children today as they behaved responsibly and the officers were very impressed with their mature responses.

Well done Year 6!
