Balloon Powered Car Racing

Do you think you could build a car powered by nothing but air? A balloon-powered car is pushed forward by air escaping from a balloon. Year 6 have been designing and making their own balloon powered cars as part of their Science and Design Technology project. The children started by researching balloon cars and adapting their plans based on their research. After their research, the children then began to make their balloon cars, ready for a class race challenge.
