World Book Day in Year 6

Today in Year 6, there was an array of exciting book characters in place of our normal pupils. We had Willy Wonka, Gangster Granny, a detective, Alice in Wonderland, Dennis the Menace and many others too.

During the morning, the pupils searched for Wally and his friends in the school, who had been stealthily hidden by Mrs Nicholls and Miss Sparkes. We also read extracts from Beatrix Potter and continued our class story 'Holes' by Louis Sachar. Well done to all the children for making such a fantastic effort today!

Dressing up for World Book Day was really fun! The event is a great way to remember and be thankful for all the wonderful books that have been written and enjoyed over time.
