To parents and carers,
Tomorrow we will be leaving for our Year 5 residential trip to Mersea Island. This is just a reminder to all adults that children are expected to be in school between 8:30- 8:55am as usual to ensure a prompt departure.
Children are expected to come to school dressed in appropriate clothing for the residential (not school uniform). The clothing they choose to wear must be suitable to begin activities when we arrive.
It is important that the children bring their cases to their classroom in the morning with a label clearly shown. Sleeping bags can be carried separately but please ensure these are also labelled.
The children must also bring with them an additional bag (ie backpack) to store their packed lunch, refillable water bottle and an item to entertain them on the journey. However, it is crucial that the children leave electronics at home, this includes: mobile phones, iPads, kindles ect. It would be appropriate to bring: a note pad, a book, cards etc. Additionally, fizzy drinks are prohibited on the way to Mersea.
We aim to be back at 4:30pm Friday 15th June. However if there are any delays Broadford with update you via the Facebook page. Please could you ensure upon your child's arrival that you remain outside of the school and allow your child to collect their items before being dismissed. This way, a smooth and safe return can be made. Thank you for your cooperation in this process.
Make sure the children rest up tonight as we big plans for the following three days!
