Year 5 - Circus Skills

Last week, Year 5 were lucky enough to take part in a circus skills workshop.

We were joined by the circus skills trick expert, Paul.

First, we learnt how to roll the diabolo on the string.

Then Paul taught us some tricks. We learnt how to rest the string on our ears and throw the diabolo up in the air.

Some top tips we learnt were:
Keep your feet facing the direction of the diabolo.

Use the string to keep the diabolo straight by pulling it forwards and backwards.

After the diabolo training we all got a chance to try the circus equipment.

Wigs, mini bikes, hula-hoops, trikes, ribbons, juggling balls, skate boards, scarves and dressing up!

Miss Breen, Miss Daly, Mrs Pike and Mrs Johnston were very impressed with the pupils behaviour in the workshop. They all shared the equipment and showed their reciprocity skills.

Year 5- Thank you!
