Congratulations to all those working so hard this week!

In Redwood, Tommy received the Reciprocity certificate and Joe received the Resilience certificate.

In Willow, Dora received the Presentation award, Zac received the Resilience certificate and Roxy received the Reflectiveness certificate.

Year 5 Stay and Learn

On Thursday 27th February Year 5 will be having a Stay and Learn session on Guided Reading.

 

We are currently studying the book Journey to the River Sea which describes the tale of Maia, an orphan, travelling to the Amazon to meet her distant relatives.

 

 

In our Stay and Learn session you see how Guided Reading is taught in Year 5 and the focus we place on retrieval, inference and explanation skills.

 

The session will start at 9.00 am and finish at 9.30 am.

Year 5 Spellings W.C. 24.2.2020

The weekly test will be on Friday and children should hand their spelling books in on this  day. Pupils are expected to practise their spellings for 15 minutes per day as well as practise their times  tables and read at home. Children are encouraged to search for the definitions of the words and use them in sentences.
