Votes for Schools

VotesforSchools is coming to Broadford!

VotesforSchools is an online voting platform that will enable our school to see how our pupils vote on topical subjects compared to the national picture as well as being broken down by age and gender, giving a real insight into what our children think and feel about some of the biggest issues faced by children and young people today.

Vote topic for week 9th - 16th October:

With the Coronavirus pandemic dominating most of our news headlines over the past year, it may have felt like other issues have fallen by the wayside or been forgotten about. For this reason, we’re taking a look at a very important topic, asking:

Have we forgotten about the environment this year?

Discussion points for parents:

  •             How Coronavirus has affected your local environment, such as increase in plastics/masks etc.
  •            What you know about the climate crisis, and how you feel about it.
  •            Steps that you can take at home to help tackle the climate crisis, such as recycling or            supporting nature.
  •            How the Coronavirus pandemic has affected other areas of life.
  •           The work of David Attenborough, his career and his latest documentary.
