Today we studied a picture of Victorian London. We then had to think of words to describe the scene. These are some of the words we came up with to describe the scene:
What we can see:
horses
carts
barrels
hay
carriages
smoke
tall chimneys
Big Ben
lamp posts
crowds
big buildings
What we could hear:
horse hooves clacking against the pavement
people talking
bells ringing
sales people yelling: 'EXTRA EXTRA'
What we could smell:
horse droppings
burnt tobacco
smoke from fires
the smell of baked bread wafting from the bakery.
