Embarrassment is so horrible that sometimes we will do anything to avoid feeling embarrassed. It is difficult to think sensibly and problem solve when we are embarrassed.
PSCHE in Maple last week involved us discussing embarrassment and creating freeze frames for some of our embarrassing moments. Some scenarios included wearing odd shoes, saying the wrong thing infront of a crowd and walking out of the house with our trousers inside out. We discovered that being embarrassed is a perfectly normal and if we see a person who is caught in an embarrassing we can:
1. Cheer them up
2. Take the attention away from them
3. Change the topic
