Grand Union Orchestra Visit

The children in years 1 to 6 were very fortunate to have a special visit yesterday from Claude and his musical orchestra. Claude, originally from South Africa, is a talented professional musician. He was joined by friends from Chile, North America and more locally, Havering College. Broadford children were treated to a special assembly where the orchestra played songs from their home countries and also Brazil and Portugal. They also showed a range of instruments that the children had never seen before including the Cajon (box). 

Claude and his team will be back at Broadford in a few weeks to work with children in Maple class on an exciting percussion project... Stay tuned!
