Stubbers Update: Limited Places Left

Please read the letter below about the upcoming Year 6 residential trip. Since we initially booked the camp at Stubbers the Year Group has expanded. If pupils want to go they must have spoken to Mrs Griffin-Stenning as soon as possible. We need your non refundable deposits if we are to try and book for more places. This is a fantastic experience which really helps to develop the children's teamwork skills and build their self confidence - perfect for those about to move to Secondary School.

Dear Parents and Carers,

As you are aware Year 6 are going to Stubbers in the summer. It was booked for 35 children, but we currently have 46 children in year 6 and so will not have spaces for all children to go. This is such a great opportunity for the children to learn new skills and challenges that will set them in good stead for moving onto secondary school in September. Therefore, whilst there are 8 available spaces at present left, I thought it best to write to you individually to find out if your child is interested in going.

If your child is worried about staying overnight, this is not a problem as they can just attend during the day, and some children at present have opted for this at a discounted price, please contact me at the school if this is the case and we can deal with each child’s circumstances individually.

It may also be that your child qualifies for free school meals and if this is the case, they too will be subsidised by the school, but obviously I need to know if they wish to go.

It would also be helpful to know if your child does not wish to go to Stubbers with their class, so that we can make arrangements for them to be placed into other classes for the three days.

Therefore, please could you ring the school and ask to speak to me over the next week.

Yours sincerely,

Gaynor Griffin-Stenning
Finance Officer
