Empty Classroom Day: Sand Math

Today every classroom will be empty at some point during the day for empty classroom day, a day to give everyone the chance to take their learning outside.
In Miss Reynolds' maths set we headed straight to the newly built sand pit! We continued our work to do with fractions and decimals, converting between both forms of fraction. However, rather than writing on paper or boards, we scribed our answers directly into the sand! The children even showed what fractions would look like in the forms of diagrams and sand sculptures. Great job everyone!
