Year 6 Science
There was an electric atmosphere in Larch class this week (literally!) as the pupils were experimenting with static electricity. After learning how electricity is the movement of electrons, the children were astounded that electricity could be produced without a plug socket! Observing a range of demonstrations from Mr Light using a balloon and various children's hair, static electricity was able to stick balloons to walls and bend water! The children then had a go themselves attracting confetti to their own balloons- and yes Mr Light and Mrs Goff were used to create the friction!!
