Welcome back, we hope you all had a lovely half term. We’ve begun the new term with a brand new book for our literacy and guided reading, ‘Rooftoppers’ and we’ve met quite a quirky character already. In maths, we have been looking at everything time related, including timetables.

Here are this week’s certificate winners:

E for Excellence

Benita - for working really hard on your confidence this week. You have been far more vocal during our live lesson and I can see a big improvement with your progress. 

Vinnie – for your fabulous literacy work this week, you produced real in depth answers - well done.

Star Writer

Elliott - for his increased enthusiasm for Literacy. He has been working really hard with Mrs Ahktar on his descriptive language.

Ameerah – for your wonderful literacy work comparing characters from our new book, ‘Rooftoppers’.

Presentation

Harry - for earning his pen license! Well done you!

Bobby – for being a perfectionist during forest school this week, you worked really hard to make the shelter fit for purpose - it looked brilliant!

Reciprocity

Justinas - for the great effort he is putting into the work he is submitting this week. We have been so impressed and have really enjoyed marking it! 

Tommy – for your excellent contribution to the PSHE lesson this week, you helped the rest of the group think about things in different ways.

Resourceful

Aaliyah - for having a great start back at school.

Charlie – for finding lots of different items during forest school in order to try and create an artwork piece.

Resilience

Maisy - for keeping positive even when she was finding some of the maths hard. I am really proud of you this week.

Summer – for persevering during forest school this week, you didn’t give up and worked really well as part of a team.

Reflectiveness

Ruben - for showing reflectiveness during his maths group session. Ruben was very thoughtful during this session and made sure he had thought of all aspects before submitting his answer.

Joe – for working really hard in your maths group and mastering written multiplication methods.

I made my teacher happy

Roxy - for her increased participation this week! Roxy read beautifully outloud to our Literacy class and has been great at describing her method in maths. 

Kyla – for your participation during our extra maths sessions, you’ve shown great knowledge when converting between fractions, decimals and percentages.
