Today, some of our Year 6 children attended an AIM High mathematics day at Brentwood Preparatory School.
The day was run by Pete Hall who inspired us with his mathematical knowledge and encouraged us think outside the box when solving problems.
Through the day, the children worked through a range of challenges and showed excellent reciprocity when supporting peers from their school (and others too).
“Pete gave us mind boggling equations.” Ryan, Larch
“The maths trip was awesome. My favourite part was when we used the tangrams - it was really hard but so fun.” Chisom, Redwood
“I really enjoyed going to the maths day. The tangrams were extremely hard but I still enjoyed them. When we did the questions, I managed to figure them out.” Shivanshi , Birch
“The maths trip really gave my mind some difficult challenges and problems to do. All of the exercises we did got my brain working.” Anushri, Redwood
