Y5 & Y6's Sunny Maths Session

Year 5 and 6 were able to enjoy the sunshine this morning during their Math sessions.

Miss Reynolds' class were reading various scales of millilitres and litres in order to solve problems involving capacity. Of course they were being very careful not to get too wet in the glorious sunshine! They were very challenged as some of the problems were written in millilitres, some were decimal fractions of litres, and others were a mixture of both!

Whereas Miss Howson's class were busy creating painted Pie Charts about data that they had collected about people's number of siblings, colour of socks and favourite subjects. They put this information into a tally chart before drawing and calculating accurately measured Pie Charts.

It is fair to say that they certainly all made the most of the sunshine!
