The Great Fraction Race

Today, as it is the day of Sport Relief, Years 5 and 6 took part in a great fraction race. The children were split into teams and assigned one adult. Once shown a fraction or decimal, it was a race against the other teams to frantically work out how many of the cubes in a tray at the other end of the playground they needed to bring safely back to the rest of their team. In the end it came down to a tie-break question- 7/10 of 70. The winners certainly were delighted at their Sport Relief victory!
