This morning year 5 explored outdoors in search of shapes. The children found a variety of regular and irregular polygons including hexagons, octagons, pentagons, trapeziums, rectangles, scalene triangles, right angled triangles and many more! They then recorded the properties of the discovered shapes including the number of lines of symmetry, parallel lines, vertices, edges and types of angles.
