Year 5 World Book Day

Yesterday students participated in a series of World Book Day themed activities.

In the morning, year 5 children were paired with year 1 children and read them stories. This was an excellent opportunity to forge friendships across year groups and for KS1 and KS2 to share reading materials.

Charis said, "This activity was super fun."
Ronnie said, "This was very enjoyable."

In the afternoon, we decorated our classroom doors to celebrate the renowned children's author David Walliams. Elm created a design based on the book 'Midnight Gang' and Maple used 'Bad Dad' as their inspiration. This task required the children to utilize their reciprocity skills to work together and contribute to the design. We were thrilled with the end result!

Following this the children designed their own book tokens which can be entered into a national competition.
