Year 5 Science update

Our caterpillars have emerged from their chrysalis' as beautiful Painted Lady butterflies!

The children have helped to create a wonderful habitat for our five butterflies using natural resources from the playground.

We will be taking it in turns to ensure the butterflies have fresh fruit and nectar available for them.

Observing the butterflies over several weeks has supported the children's understanding of metamorphosis and the life cycle of an insect.

We are still eagerly waiting for the stick insects to hatch!
