Earlier in the week Year 5 celebrated the final stage of the butterfly life cycle by releasing our five butterflies into the surrounding playground areas.
The children have thoroughly enjoyed watching the full transformation of these insects. In this unit they have understood the process of metamorphosis and witnessed first hand the development from caterpillar to chrysalis to butterfly.
We are still waiting on our stick insects to hatch!
