Year 6 - Reopening Form

Broadford Primary School Reopening for Year 6

Dear Parents and Carers,

We hope this message finds you well and you have been doing some interesting Homeschooling. Staff at Broadford have been working really hard to get the school ready to welcome back children in Year 6 in a safe way during these unusual times. There are quite a lot of changes to our normal systems which are detailed below.

After you have read about the changes please fill in the google survey. It is really, really important that we know which children are coming back to school so we can work out groupings and organise staffing. Attendance at the moment is encouraged but is optional at the moment. Parents will not be fined for non - attendance.

  • Year 6 children will attend school on Thursdays and Fridays from 11th June with the school day starting at 9am and finishing at 3pm
  • You must be on time. If you arrive later than the start time your child will not be able to attend that day
  • Each child will be grouped in a 'bubble' consisting of a maximum 15 children with 2 adults
  • Children and adults in a 'bubble' will not mix with children and adults from other 'bubbles'
  • The children will be expected to social distance within their bubble and the classroom will be arranged to aid this
  • The school kitchen is offering to provide cold packed lunches which will be provided free for children in receipt of Free School Meals. If you pay for lunches this can be booked and paid for through sQuid as normal
  • If your child is bringing in a packed lunch from home, it must be in a new plastic bag each day
  • All children should bring a clean water bottle into school each day
  • Children need to wear clean clothes everyday, uniform is optional. As we will be getting outside as much as possible, children should bring in a sunhat (or a raincoat if the weather changes). Please use an all day sunscreen if required, children should not bring sunscreen to school
  • If you decide not to send your child in, you will have to wait until the following Thursday intake before they are able to return to school. You must inform the school office by the Monday before
  • Contact with the class teacher; We are sorry we won't be able to have face-to-face conversations with our parents at the moment but we are still here for you. If you wish to speak to your class teacher, please email year56@broadford.havering.sch.uk and either ask us a question, pass on a message or request a phone call. If you have any questions regarding the points above, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Whether you are sending your child back or not, please fill out the form below:

Kind regards,
