Y5 Young Enterprise careers workshop

In preparation for their exciting visit to Kidzania next week, the Year 5 children were visited by Young Enterprise for a careers workshop. Young Enterprise are the UK's leading enterprise and financial education charity, who work with young people to develop the knowledge and attitudes they need to succeed.

Through drama and games, the children learned about the skills they would need to be successful in a range of careers - including vet, architect and teacher. By the end of the workshop the children had a greater understanding of the importance of the 4 Rs and the skills they will need to succeed in their working life.

"It was really interesting finding out about the skills we need for different jobs. I didn't know that lorry drivers and vets both need to be resilient!" - Daniel K

The children will have the opportunity to use these skills next week when they visit Kidzania and try out a range of jobs.
