Spaghetti and Marshmellow challenge

Today, being the first day back, in Willow class we decided to really put our reciprocity and resilience  to the test! The children were split into groups of 3/4 and had the task of building a tower purely from spaghetti and marshmallows. They were not instructed on how to do so! They had to think for themselves and decide on the best possible structure in order to build a tower that was tall, appealing, strong and stable.

Chloe Kirk 'We decided to use triangles to build our tower as triangles form the strongest structure!'

Some children struggled constructing the tower as their hands were smothered in marshmellow. Other children pondered over how to join the pieces together and others had to endure watching their tower collapse multiple times. However, one thing is for sure... Not one child gave up, showing how resilient and determined they are.

A great day today Willow Class, I look forward to seeing you again tomorrow!
