Year 5/6 - CAM you believe it!

On the 29th January, Year 5 and 6 were excited to welcome Jeremy King, a specialist engineer, to work with them in relation to their Victorians topic. Mr.King showed the children how to make and use a CAM, an old-fashioned mechanism, that was found in many Victorian toys.
The children were very busy gluing, drilling and sawing materials that they had accurately measured, in order to create either a rotational or linear motion for their design of toy.
The children later finished off their designs in class, and are very excited to show everyone the finished results.
