Year 5 Chinese Cooking

To conclude our exploration of Chinese culture,  Year 5 took part in a Chinese cooking and taster session with Mr Borrell. Our keen chefs made traditional Chinese chow mein with vegetables and egg noodles. Mr Borrell even brought in a selection of fruits and vegetables which are found in China.

In order to create a scrumptious and finger licking meal, the children were required to apply their reciprocal skills as they worked as a team to successfully complete each section of the preparation and cooking process.

"Today's cookery lesson was the best. There were loads of vegetables to make the chow mein. There were mushrooms, peppers, onions and garlic. It was delicious. I can't wait to make it tonight!"
