The Wonderful Creations of Freddie

At Broadford, we love to recognise and appreciate children's pursuits outside of the classroom, particularly when they show passion, skill and talent. Freddie Lewis in Redwood is mad about Lego and is always building and creating imaginative designs at home which he brings in to show his class.

Today he brought in Rakshi, a group of villains who invade villages and pillage using their scythes as weapons. Freddie also showed off Makuta, who is a mask-maker and created a mask with six elements. The amazing thing about Freddie's creations is that he has used his imagination to dream up these characters and then built them from scratch by himself. This demonstrates extraordinary resilience and resourcefulness.

The hardest thing was to think about what Makuta looks like and I had to make him as tall as possible because he has the power to grow. My favourite feature of Makuta is how evil he is because he's capable of doing lots of bad things.

Thank you for sharing Freddie- we just love your creations!
