The whole school were lucky enough to have a visitor from the NSPCC, who came to visit the children to talk about how to stay safe. The purpose of the workshop was to give the children the life skills to recognise the signs of abuse and get the help that they require. During the workshop, the children were given the opportunity to explore various situations and discuss in groups how they felt about the situation and how the situation should be handled. They explored various issues such as physical and emotional abuse, inappropriate films and messages, staying safe online and bullying. Furthermore the children were signposted to who their 'trusted adults' might be.
This workshop was really interesting and a good reminder for us to know who we can talk to if we need to share something that has happened.
