Please see below the spellings for the week beginning 5th October 2020.

The weekly test will be on Friday and children should hand their spelling books in on this day. Pupils are expected to practise their spellings for 15 minutes per day as well as practise their times tables and read at home. Children are encouraged to search for the definitions of the words and use them in sentences.

It has been a big week this week, the children have participated in their first mock SATs week – they have worked really hard so we decided a treat was in order! We watched the first part of Holes (the book we have been studying in Literacy) and indulged in some popcorn too.

Amazing Art in Year 5

 Amazing Art in Year 5

Year 5 have been busy in Art, preparing their designs for their Greek theatre mask. They had to decide which expression they were going to use, and sketch this in fine detail. Next week, the children will use their designs to begin making their masks.

I used a wide mouth so that my mask has a surprised expression - Nela
