Last Friday, children in Year 6 were excited to take part in the Children in Need celebrations and activities.  

It was lovely to see so many children wearing spots, sporting the theme SPOTacular and especially lovely to see so many homemade t-shirts: well done all. The children used their reciprocity skills to design and decorate their classroom door in aid of some friendly competition across the school: congratulations Lime Class on their win. Additional activities were carried out in the classrooms. The Year 6 School Council representatives did a phenomenal job taking the assembly: teaching all the children across Key Stage 2 about Children in Need and why it is so special.

WE walk for water 3/5/19

It is a non school uniform day tomorrow as the children will be participating in the WE walk for water campaign where they will walk four laps around the field in order to raise money so that they can provide water for those that don't have it.

Please bring in 50p per family for the non uniform day.

Red, yellow and black for Brandina

Today, Broadford have been exceptional (as always) in raising money for Brandina, a girl who we sponsor in Uganda. Thanks to your help, generosity and support, the children dressed up in an item of red, yellow or black clothing and were able to raise £276.00 towards the charity 'Watato.'

As a result of your contributions, Brandina will have greater access to education, medical care and nutritious food. Brandina contacted us directly to inform us that, as a result of our support, she has excelled in her education with a first grade, which is fantastic to hear.

Tyler Shephard - It's really nice to know that the money we give helps another child go to school. I can't imagine not being able to go to school.

Brandina NON-SCHOOL UNIFORM 19.01.18

Dear Parents and Carers,

Just a quick reminder that tomorrow, pupils from the school council are hosting a non-school uniform day in aid of Brandina, who is the pupil we sponsor in Uganda.

Pupils are invited to wear one piece of non-uniform, representing the colours of the Ugandan flag (red, black and yellow) and a contribution of 50p towards the charity of 'Watato' would be greatly appreciated. 

I look forward to raising money tomorrow in a fun and exciting way!

Friday 19th January - Event for Brandina

We've had an extravaganza of a fundraising day today. We've had non uniform day, sponsored trail trek, cake sale and even teachers being soaked by a giant bucket of water on the playground. The grand total hasn't been finalised yet, but take a look at our photos to see how we got on! 

Y5's Charity Day: Children In Need

Years 5's Charity Day is still well underway. The cake sale was a great success with over £300 made so far! Year 5 are also completely sold out of key rings and 2014 wrist bands, with only the limited edition £1.50 bands left. They will come round for a last sale this afternoon and remaining stock will be on sale outside Maple classroom this afternoon. There are still some delicious cakes left to start your weekend off in a sweet and delicious way! In addition to all of this, there has also been a fantastic selection of Hilarious Headgear on show, including colourful wigs and brilliant hats! Thank you to everybody that has contributed so far- including the kitchen staff! 

Sponsored Walk

This afternoon all of our children descended upon the field for a sunny Sponsored Walk. Supporting eachother, the children walked, marched and strolled around our newly built pathway. Each child will bring home a record card of their personal achievement this afternoon in the hope of raising lots of money to go towards our school lunchtime play equipment. Please donate some money towards their efforts if you can.
