Swimming consent letter and form

Welcome back to school after an anazing summer. Please read the following letter that has been sent out on Parent Pay and complete the link attached for your child to attend swimming commencing next week. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

Friday 4th September

Dear Parents and Carers,

 Year 5 Swimming Lessons

We are delighted to announce that starting this September, our Year 5 classes will

begin their school swimming sessions at Central Park Leisure Centre on

Wednesday 9th September.

Class Schedule & Term Dates

Each class will have a 30-minute swimming slot on a Wednesday during their

designated term:

• Almond class: Autumn Term (Starting Wednesday 9/9/26 -6/12/26

• Oak Class: Spring Term (Starting Wednesday 6/1/27 - 21/3/27

• Lime Class: Summer Term (Starting 14/4/27 - 11/7/27

Travel & Timing

The children will leave school in the afternoon accompanied by Year 5 staff and

will walk to Central Park Leisure Centre.

We will return to school on foot and will arrive back between 3:30 - 3:40 pm.

Children should come to school in their normal school uniform and will get

changed once we arrive at the leisure centre.

Swimming Kit Checklist

To get ready for September, please ensure your child has the following items

packed in a bag clearly labelled with their name.

• For Girls: A one-piece swimming costume (no bikinis).

• For Boys: Fitted swimming trunks or aqua shorts (no loose/baggy shorts).

• Swimming Cap: Required for all children with medium-to-long hair.

• Goggles: recommended to help them feel comfortable underwater.

• Towel & Bag: A large towel packed inside a labelled waterproof or drawstring

• bag.

 Important Safety Note: Please do not send your child with any aerosol sprays or

powders, as these can trigger severe breathing difficulties for children with

asthma in the changing rooms.
