Y5 ordering fractions with different denominators

This morning, children in Miss Chau's Maths set were put into groups and given a bean bag and hula hoop. The aim was to throw the bean bag into the hoop but each child was allowed a different amount of attempts. Children had to record the results as a fraction and then order the fractions from least to greatest. Because of the varying amounts of attempts, the fractions all had different denominators and so the children had to find the lowest common denominator before they were able to order the fractions. Great work year 5!
