Fossil hunters

Coconut class enjoyed a lesson exploring fossils. After looking at how fossils are formed, they researched different fun facts, whilst groups were pulled away to look at some real fossils!

They class really enjoyed themselves and learnt loads. Did you know...

...the oldest bivalve fossil is 500 million years old? (Fact by Tumelo)
...sponges are made of tiny pieces of calcium? (Fact by Amy)
...sea urchins are related to star fish? (Fact by Mitchell)
...ammonites are related to octopuses and squids? (Fact by Kirsty)
