As people are aware,
October is Black History Month. Here at Broadford we pride ourselves in
including this within our curriculum. It is so very important that the children
learn about key moments within history and the impact of influential people
from the black community.
Each class has
studied a chosen individual with the aim of gaining an insight as to why these
people are so inspirational and what it was that they managed to achieve
regardless of prejudice. Classes then had to produce a piece of artwork to be
displayed in our school. Here are some pictures below, I think we can all agree
that they are fabulous. A huge well done to our children!
