Y6 - End of Year Events

To parents and carers of Y6 pupils,

As the end of the children’s primary school experience is coming to an end, we have a few activities organised. Please find below information regarding end of year events happening throughout July for Y6 pupils.

Wednesday 14th of July	Legacy workshop with Rev Rich	Keep an eye out for photographs on the blog
Thursday 15th of July	Y6 Sports Day	The children will take part in an obstacle event in the afternoon.
Thursday 15th of July	Y6 Celebration Evening and BBQ	Pupils stay after school for food and fun.  Graduation evening begins at 5pm - parents can access this via zoom.
Friday 16th of July and  Monday 19th of July	Y6 Virtual Production of ‘A night at the musicals’ is being recorded	Bring in any necessary costumes.
Wednesday 21st of July	‘A night at the musicals’ will be blogged for you to watch!
Thursday 22nd July	T-shirt signing Year 6 Leavers Lunch	Pupils may wear their gifted LFPA t-shirts and are welcome to bring in an additional t-shirt for signing. Year 6 are invited to the hall on the last day of term for a leavers lunch. The children have the option of eating a leavers lunch from school or bringing their own pack lunch.

Year 6 children will be taking part in their Year 6 celebrations after school on Thursday 15th of July. As soon as the school day has finished, the Year 6 children will be allowed to change into their own clothes for the evening’s events. It is important that if the children wish to wear their own clothes that they bring these in with them on Thursday morning. Following a quick change of clothes, the children will be heading down to the field for fun and a BBQ. During the afternoon and evening, the children will not be permitted to use their mobile phones (plenty of photographs will be taken by members of staff and uploaded onto the school Facebook page). Mobiles will be kept in the office until the end of the evening when all mobiles can be collected from the Class Teacher. 

At 5pm the Year 6 celebration assembly will commence. The parents will be able to access this via zoom and if you are unable to be on zoom for this, we will make sure it is recorded. The children will need to be collected from school at 6pm from the KS2 door. Remember to have your tissues! We look forward to seeing you.
