Year 6 have been developing their scientific enquiry skills even further this week and last by investigating how light from an object is reflected by a surface. They learned that the light changes direction and travels in a straight line.
The children turned into engineers for the day by thinking carefully about the materials they wanted to use in order to see objects that were behind them or on a different level. They all ended up designing and making their very own periscopes!
It was so wonderful to see how creative the children were with their designs and their resilience, when their periscope was not working as effectively as it could be. Determined to succeed, they used their resourcefulness learning power to get round any issues they were faced with. Excellent work, Year 6!
