During the week beginning 23rd May, pupils will be taking part in lots of exciting activities to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee!
Year 6 will be focusing on one decade of the Queen's reign - the 1950s - and explore some areas of life in that given decade.
We will be:
- learning all about the Queen's life and creating presentations about her and the Jubilee
- designing a 1950s outfit
- researching and creating a fact-file about one aspect of the 1950s
- making bunting and sandwiches for a party at the end of the week
- learning and performing "The Stroll" by The Diamonds.
There will be a red, white and blue dress up day on Thursday 26th May along with a special Jubilee menu for all pupils.
On Friday 27th May, all pupils are invited to a Party in the Playground. There will be music, food and games.
We can't wait to celebrate the Jubilee with the children next week!
