Tricky Trades in Year 6 Geography

This half term in Geography, Year 6 are looking at trading across the world.

In this lesson, pupils discussed the difference between national and international trading and then considered some of the pros and cons of both.

In this task, pupils began trading with those on their table to represent national trading. They were only allowed to trade one item and there wasn't much money available. They then traded with other groups - to represent international trading - this time, they were trading different items and there was more money available.

They then discussed what they noticed about the different types of trading. Moving forward, we will be considering the human processes involved in trading across the world.
