This week in Year 5 we had looked at Religious Rituals in RE. In particular we had looked at Christianity and the ritual of baptism, although we did get to discuss some other rituals we have all experienced from different religions. An example of this was Zakat (The second pillar of Islam) and how there is the ritual of giving for charity. We had also looked into what the bible say's about baptism and how Christians use this as a source of wisdom and a teaching code for living.
We had used Reflectiveness in making links back to previous learning and our Reciprocity value for sharing our own experiences of rituals we may have seen such as weddings, funerals and christenings.
