Ambitious Aims
Over the weeks students will be completing a series of exercises including running and circuit training with the final goal of becoming fitter. The course hopes to promote a healthy and active lifestyle.
Amazing Activities
Weeks 1 - 6 : Each week the children will be completing a timed lap of the trail and a fitness training circuit which will include:
Jump squats
Burpees
Star jumps
Speed bounce
Jump lunges
Skaters
Press ups
Mountain climbers
Shuffles
Up-downs on bench
Before recording in their fitness journal each week their progress regarding speed amount of each activity completed alongside any change in heart rate.
Week 6-9: Children will be designing their own workouts that include exercises for each muscle group. The children will trial and review their own workouts before others try them and give feedback.
Fabulous Finale
At the end of the course, the children will create their own circuit class and teach it to their peers.
