Year 5 Become Detectives
Year 5 returned after half term to find their classrooms has turned into crime scenes. There was police tape and evidence around the classroom. The children were told that the clues all linked to our new class text 'The Hacker' by Malorie Blackman.
Year 5 showed excellent reciprocity as they made their way around the classroom predicting what crime could possibly have been committed. The children reflected on the evidence they had and (using their inference skills) predicted what they thought the crime was before we began reading the first chapters of the book.
We are so excited to read this thriller with Year 5 and see if their predictions were correct!
'It was exciting to look at all the different clues and try to predict information about the plot and characters!' - Kevin, Maple
'I know Mr Gibson must be good with technology as it says he is a computer auditing manager at a bank. Maybe he is the hacker?' Autumn, Willow
"I predict that Mr Gibson must be arrested and it has something to do with coding and money going missing." - Riley, Redwood
