Changes to how Y6 walkers leave the school grounds

  Dear Parents/Carers, 

Changes to how Y6 walkers leave the school grounds 

Walkers will be dismissed from the gate in front of the school office by their class teacher. 

This change is in response to the negative behaviour of some pupils who walk home without parents.  Hopefully, this change will be temporary and when improvements have been made then pupils will be dismissed from the door next to Mrs Nicholls' office (to the left of the school office).

If your child does not walk home: they will be dismissed as normal from their classroom (Birch) or next to Elm at the wall (Redwood & Larch).

If a child meets their parent/carer somewhere within school grounds e.g. a classroom or at the big vehicle gate by the Year 5 building: children will still walk out from the door next to the school office and head towards parent/carers.

If a child has an after school club: they will go to their club from class and be dismissed from their club as normal.
