" I loved bringing reading alive." Billie - Almond
Year 5 have had an amazing time celebrating World Book Day. The children began the day by being the author they wanted to read. They wrote their own short stories and presented these to their peers.
The children had all put a lot effort into their costumes and enjoyed showing them off throughout the day.
Year 5 were very lucky to partner up with Year 1 and spent some time buddy reading. They really enjoyed sharing a range of stories and reading to the younger ones. They were also treated to having a story read to them by the confident readers.
Each class had the opportunity to show their creative side and design the classroom doors.
I am sure we all agree how wonderful they look.
It has been a really enjoyable day in Year 5. We hope the children keep up the joy of reading and immerse themselves in many more books.
