Tudor Cooking

This afternoon we were very lucky to have Mr Borrell visit year 6 to tell us about Tudor food.

With his help we cooked Pottage, which is a dish poor people would have eaten regularly. It is like soup, thickened with oats. Included in the recipe are many vegetables which would've grown in Tudor gardens: carrots, leeks, turnips and parsnips.

After we had finished we got to taste it, with another Tudor staple... bread! Delicious!
