Year 6 started off their new science topic, Evolution, this term with a "wow" afternoon, where they created their own fossils! In our classes, we discussed how scientists can use fossils to learn about the past. We talked about how living things have changed over time and that fossils can provide information about living things that inhabited the Earth millions of years ago.
"At first I wasn't sure what to make, but I created a dinosaur fossil in the end. It was messy" Frankie P, Almond
"I liked when we had to mix everything altogether - it was very sticky!" D'Shawn, Lime
The children showed reciprocity and resourcefulness throughout the lesson. Well done, year 6!
