Year 6 Junior Citizen Trip

Dear Parents & Carers,

On Thursday 22nd June, Year 6 are luckily enough to be part of the Junior Citizen programme, funded by the Mayor’s Office (MOPAC).

The event consists of a variety of scenarios based around personal safety lasting approximately 10 minutes each, provided by various organisations’ such as: Havering’s Community Safety Team; the Metropolitan Police Service; London Fire Brigade; Wize Up; Safer Transport and Cycle Safety to name but a few.  

As they make their way around the event each group will be given scores.  At the end of the two weeks (in which other schools will compete) the scores will be checked and the winning team will be invited to the Town Hall to meet the Mayor for a small presentation and lunch.

The venue this year will be at The Territorial Army Building in London Road, Romford.

Year 6 will leave school at 12.30 by coach and return, we hope, latest 3.30.
