 OPAL- Outdoor Play and Learning 

                 

A whole new field 

After listening to the children's suggestions we have decided to create a more spaces for children to relax and have time with their friends. 

The current school field is going to be split into two very different sections. 

The first section is going to remain as it is, allowing the children to play games. 

The second section is going to be allowed to grow longer and will become a calming space for the children. 

We are hoping to add resources to this space to provide the children with seating. 

To be able to use the field throughout the winter months the children will need wellies. Please send your child to school with named wellies and ensure they also have a change of shoes for inside the school building. 

The school will be fundraising in many different ways to help with this. On December 1st. The school are having a Christmas Fayre with many stalls and oppotunities to meet Santa. 

Please come and join us for the festive fun. 

 

As always we would appreciate any more resources you could add to our collection. So, do think of us if you are having a clear out. The items we are looking for will enable us to enjoy a wider range of play experiences during playtime (see below for some examples):

• Bread crates
• Cable drums
• Metal/plastic pots and pans
• Range of plastic utensils.
• Guttering
• Dressing up clothes
• Blankets (to add to our den building)
• Small World toys (Dinosaurs, cars etc..)
• Scooters
• Deck chairs/ camping chairs (all sizes)
• Outdoor cushions
