Year 6 were lucky enough to visit Bedfords Park yesterday to have first hand experience of orienteering and using map skills.
This follows on from their Geography lessons where they have been exploring using grid references.
The children were taught about map symbols and viewpoints.

They also used a map in groups to find different symbols dotted around the park
We had a great day and the children were a credit to our school, even though they were very muddy!
