Year 6 have really enjoyed learning about their new unit in literacy. We have been exploring different stories with flashbacks in and have been identifying the different moods and feelings that have been portrayed in the texts.
Today, the children learnt more about the main character, Danny, in our story and decided on different words that could be used to describe him. The children were able to justify their opinions using evidence from the text and explain how his the portrayal of his personality changes throughout the story.
Some of the children were able to represent Danny's character though drama demonstrating his cool exterior coupled with his major phobia of wasps! Miss Broom's class even rehearsed some of the story, adding actions to help them remember it. Please check out the video below with their wonderful work in action!
