Palm and Coconut have had an extremely exciting day at the 'Centre of the Cell' science education centre based at Queen Mary, University of London.
Inside the distinctive orange Pod, which was suspended above the laboratories in the Blizard Institue, we were able to see research scientists at work.
On arrival, we were greeted by David, Melina and Rachel, medical students and research scientists at the education centre, who informed us of their research into the musculoskeletal system. We were then led to the Pod. Excited, fascinated and enthralled, the children played curriculum linked interactive games and watched footage of scientists describing their work.
Lastly we visited the Royal London Hospital Museum which was located in the former crypt of a late 19th century church.
